Friend is informed by the National Assistance Board that on 26th February, 1957, 2,394 weekly National Assistance grants were current in the area served by the Board's Dumbarton office. The Board regrets that as information about discretionary additions contained in such allowances is extracted82W centrally on a sample basis, the numbers of such additions cannot be given for particular localities.
