§ Mr. Patrick Maitlandasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations have been received from local authorities on development corporations to obtain extra powers to restrain the operators of mobile sales vans on which 46W no rates are paid in sales competition with rate-paying shopkeepers.
§ Mr. MaclayPerth Town Council has suggested that street trading should be prohibited except under licence from the appropriate local authority. No similar representations have recently been made to me by other local authorities, or by any development corporation.
