HC Deb 14 March 1957 vol 566 c201W
53. Mr. E. Fletcher

asked the Prime Minister what arrangements are being made for this country to be represented at the 350th anniversary celebrations of the founding of Jamestown, Virginia.

The Prime Minister

I would refer the hon. Gentleman to the reply given on Monday to the hon. and learned Member for Aberdeen, North (Mr. Hector Hughes). In addition, I understand that you, Mr. Speaker, and the Lord Chancellor have received from the General Assembly of the State of Virginia an invitation to send a Parliamentary delegation of hon. Members of this House and of another place at the end of July, and that you, Sir, and my noble Friend are accepting this invitation.
