HC Deb 14 March 1957 vol 566 cc196-7W
Mr. Lewis

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Education whether he has yet considered the letter sent to him by the hon. Member for West Ham, North, enclosing a memorandum from Sir Ronald Gould, M.A., the General Secretary of the National Union of Teachers, on the question of the Government education grant; and whether he will make a statement.

Sir E. Boyle

My noble Friend will be ready to discuss the Government's proposals with the National Union of Teachers at an appropriate stage, but I cannot comment on its memorandum within the scope of a Parliamentary Answer.
