Mr. AmoryCareful consideration has been given to a request by the N.F.U. that a grading scheme for strawberry runners should be introduced, but such a scheme does not seem practicable. It would seem impossible to enforce grading standards even if they could be satisfactorily determined. All appropriate opportunities are being taken to impress on the growers of strawberry runners the need to supply only good plants of even quality.
