HC Deb 04 March 1957 vol 566 c10W
60. Mr. E. Johnson

asked the Minister of Health how many spastics over 18 years of age are now in hospitals under his control; whether they are receiving special treatment; and if he is satisfied with the existing arrangements made for their welfare.

Mr. Vosper

I regret that separate figures are not available. The full range of hospital services under the National Health Service is available to these patients as to others and they receive the treatment required by their condition. Welfare is a matter I am considering in the light of the Report of the Piercy Committee on the Rehabilitation Training and Resettlement of Disabled Persons.
