HC Deb 06 June 1957 vol 571 cc133-4W
Mr. Hirst

asked the President of the Board of Trade (1) if the common price agreement in the crown cork industry has yet been registered under the Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1956; and whether he will exercise his powers under the provisions of that Act to ensure that the agreement receives early consideration by the Restrictive Practices Court;

(2) if the common price agreement in the glass bottle industry has been registered under the Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1956; and whether he will exercise his powers under the provisions of that Act to ensure that the agreement receives early consideration by the Restrictive Practices Court.

Mr. Walker-Smith

As I explained in reply to a Question on 4th June, information about particular agreements can be obtained from the Registrar of Restrictive Trading Agreements. My right hon. Friend is now considering additions to the list of agreements for early consideration by the Restrictive Practices Court and he will bear my hon. Friend's suggestions in mind.
