§ 103. Mr. A. Hendersonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will instruct his representatives at the United Nations to propose that steps be taken to co-ordinate the work of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, the International Red Cross, and other bodies dealing with relief measures.
§ Mr. Ormsby-GoreThe twice-yearly meetings of the Executive Committee of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees are attended by observers from such bodies as the International Labour Organisation, the Council of Europe and the Intergovernmental Committee for European Migration. Many voluntary bodies are also represented, including the League of Red Cross Societies. There is in addition a great deal of consultation between the Office of the High Commissioner and other agencies when the Committee is in Session, and at other times. In these circumstances, I do not think any further co-ordination is required.
