§ 11. Sir D. Robertsonasked the Postmaster-General why it took him fifty-four days to provide the information which he undertook to give to the hon. Member for Caithness and Sutherland or the outcome of a meeting between his officials and North of Scotland Hydro-Board officials held in Wick on 30th May which concerned a number of citizens who have been waiting for years for an electricity supply.
§ Mr. MarplesThis was a complicated matter involving the Post Office and the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation as well as the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board. I regret that, following the technical discussion, we were responsible for delay while the question of defraying the cost of putting the cables concerned underground was considered.
