§ Captain Kerbyasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he is aware that the British Egg Marketing Board, by only advertising packing station eggs, are discriminating against registered producers who sell fresh farm eggs at the farm gate or direct to retailers; and what steps he is taking to ensure that the Board ceases this practice.
Mr. AmoryI see no reason why the British Egg Marketing Board should not have the same freedom to advertise its own eggs, which have passed through packing stations, as individual producers or groups of producers have to advertise eggs which they sell direct to consumers or to retailers.
