§ 56. Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received from the National Association of Boys' Clubs concerning the danger to the Youth Service of the Government's proposals for block grants to local authorities; and what reply he has made.
§ Mr. MaclayI have received a letter on this subject from the Scottish Association today. I will consider the detailed points the Association raise, but in general there is no reason to suppose that the new grant system will endanger the development of the Youth Service.
