§ 129. Mr. Redheadasked the Minister of Labour how many of the appropriate local employment committees have, to date, advised him of their views upon his proposals for the closure of local offices of his Department: and how many of this number have indicated their approval or disapproval, respectively.
§ Mr. Iain Macleod114 local employ-men committees have advised me of their views about 172 of my 186 proposals. In 83 cases they have accepted my proposals; in 64 they have opposed them, while in 25 cases, where I had proposed closing a full-time office, they have asked me to retain a part-time office. I am giving full consideration to their views.
