§ 60. Mrs. Mannasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that the remuneration due to general practitioners is held up for three months before being paid, and that English practitioners are paid monthly; and if he will introduce monthly payments in Scotland.
§ Mr. MaclayIn Scotland, and normally in England, remuneration due to general medical practitioners has hitherto been paid quarterly. Amending regulations to enable monthly payments to be made will be laid before the House soon to come into effect on 1st October.
