§ 98. Mr. Bennasked the Under-Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations what answer was given by Her Majesty's Government to the protest made to them by the South African Government about the recent British Broadcasting Corporation's "Panorama" programme on South Africa.
§ Mr. AlportDuring his visit, the South African Minister for External Affairs raised this matter with my noble Friend, who explained that the B.B.C. has always enjoyed independence in regard to the content of its programmes.
