§ Mr. H. BrookeIt is impossible to estimate to what extent the pollution of rivers is due to sewage as distinct from other effluents. As I said in reply to the hon. Member for Rugby (Mr. J. Johnson) on 25th June, the overall pollution is, although still serious, decreasing.
