§ Mr. MaclayA statutory scheme varying committee appointed by the Law Society of Scotland has been reviewing the arrangements for the provision of legal aid in civil cases and has submitted a report which I am now studying. As regards legal aid in criminal cases, I have had certain representations from the Law Society which I am considering with my right hon. and learned Friend the Lord Advocate.
