75. Mrs. Slaterasked the Minister of Health what provisions are made, or should be made, by hospital management committees to ensure that X-ray machines and other electrical equipment are adequately serviced.
§ Mr. Vaughan-MorganX-ray sets are normally serviced by the manufacturers, and other electrical equipment by the technical staff of the management committee or by outside experts brought in by the committee. Guidance on the maintenance of certain electrical apparatus was given in the report of a88W working party on anaesthetic explosions which was brought to the notice of hospital authorities last August.
