Mr. Awberyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will, in view of the embarrassing position in which people find themselves as the result of performing their duties as citizens and the threats made to them as a consequence, refrain in future from publishing the names of the people who have been directly or indirectly responsible for the detection and capture of criminals.
§ Mr. R. A. ButlerNo such information is published by my Department, and I am informed by the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that the police do not disclose the names of persons who have given them assistance in this way.
