§ 73. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will take immediate steps to consult Scottish technical college staff associations for the purpose of establishing a joint negotiating body comprising representatives of relevant governing bodies, staff associations and the Scottish Education Department; if he will arrange for this body to have an independent chairman, and to be a permanent body recognised for the settlement of all revisions of technical college salary scales; and, after consultation with the relevant staff associations, if he will define with precision the construction and functions of the body so to be established.
