The Prisoners Removal (Bahrain and St. Helena) Order, 1956, was made under Section 4 of the Colonial Prisoners Removal Act, 1869. Orders made under this Act do not require to be laid before Parliament. But copies of the Order were available within 48 hours of its being made.
