§ 30. Mr. R. Harrisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is prepared to reconsider the claim of the National Staff Side that all the temporary service of civil servants should count towards pension; and what would be the cost to the Exchequer if this concession were granted.
§ Mr. PowellThe National Staff Side have made representations on this matter to my right hon. Friend in the last 24 hours; he has not yet had time to consider them. As regards the second part of the Question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the Answer given to the hon. and gallant Member for Croydon, North-East (Vice-Admiral Hughes Hallett) on 19th December.
