§ Mr. WatkinsonB.O.A.C. has built two earth banks on the eastern boundary of its maintenance area and has agreed to extend these banks in step with the gradual development of their area. Negotiations have been opened with the Middlesex County Council to acquire the land for this extension. Discussions are also proceeding with the various airline operators as to the best layout and use of earth banks in the No. 2 Maintenance Area on the south-western perimeter. I shall be able to estimate the date of completion of the scheme for this area as soon as a satisfactory plan has been agreed, and planning is going ahead as rapidly as possible.
