§ Mr. Ian HarveyYes. The Council of the Association is still in being. It met on 10th January and 21st January, and the Executive Group has met frequently. The purpose of the Association is to represent the interests of the members, who are the most important users of the Canal. The Administrator of the Association is at present engaged in a study of economic and transport changes resulting from the closure of the Canal, including the question of what arrangements may be necessary to ensure the orderly flow of traffic through the Canal when it is re-opened. Her Majesty's Government have made a contribution of £3,333 towards the Association's current administrative expenses.
