§ Mr. ProfumoI regret that in reply to a similar Question on 24th October my right hon. Friend implied that the charge against Mr. Crowley was that of publishing a false report. As I have since explained in a letter to the hon. Member, the charge against Mr. Crowley was in fact that of publishing a report likely to prejudice public tranquillity; and the falsity of Mr. Crowley's statements was relevant to that charge.
