§ 50. Mr. Bennasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what amendments have been made in the Emergency Regulations in Kenya; and how many persons now under sentence of death would not be liable to execution under the new Regulations.
§ Mr. MaclayThe Regulations revoked include those which prohibited the possession of more than one firearm at a time, the possession in certain circumstances of incendiary material, and the special provisions relating to sabotage which prescribed the capital penalty for this offence in certain circumstances. Full details are given in a Supplement to the Kenya Gazette of 8th January, a copy of which was placed in the Library on 15th January. The answer to the second part of the Question is "none".
