§ Mr. SoamesThe approximate annual cost of maintaining the Reserve Fleet (including personnel costs) is £12.5 million. Pending conclusion of the current review of defence expenditure I am unable to state how much of it will be possible to devote to maintenance of the Reserve Fleet during 1957–58.
