asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what reply he has made to representations from the National Institute for the Deaf and the British Association for the Hard of Hearing, with regard to the charging of fees for lip-reading classes.

No such representations have been made to me. It was not intended that the Circular about changes in further education fees issued in June, 1956, should affect classes of this kind and I have no reason to suppose that it has done so.
