HC Deb 21 February 1957 vol 565 c84W
Mr. Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department the number of employees of his Department, including the Metropolitan Police, working in the House of Commons, who have not received an increase in their wages or salaries since the date when Members of Parliament commenced to receive sessional allowances.

Mr. R. A. Butler

The Home Office has no staff employed in the House of Commons. All ranks of the Metropolitan Police have received an increase in pay since July, 1954.
