HC Deb 20 February 1957 vol 565 c65W
60. Mr. P. Noel-Baker

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, at the meeting of representatives of the United Slates of America, France and Great Britain, summoned by President Eisenhower on 28th October to discuss the implementation of the Tripartite Declaration in the event of an attack by Israel on Egypt, Her Majesty's representative made it clear that in the view of Her Majesty's Government the declaration was inapplicable to an attack by Israel on Egypt.

Mr. Ormsby-Gore

As I told the right hon. Member on 17th December, the view that the Tripartite Declaration was inapplicable in Egypt's defence was put forward in the course of the meeting with American and French representatives on 29th October, not 28th October.
