TaylorComprehensive experiments have been carried out over a number of years by the Chemical Defence Experimental Establishment to assess the value of atropine as an antidote against nerve gases and to determine the tolerance of effective dosages by men. The results of these trials, which included experiments with volunteers, have been published in the scientific Press from time to time. No decision has yet been taken to issue this drug to soldiers for self-injection.
