§ Mr. Robson Brownasked the Paymaster-General if he is aware of the effect on the lawn-mower industry, whose exports are some £1,600,000 per annum, caused by the decision to restrict the allocation of petrol for motor lawn-mowers used for domestic purposes to the months April to September; and if he will put domestic users on the same footing as clubs and institutions for allocation purposes.
§ Mr. MaudlingRegional petroleum officers have now been instructed to issue allowances to domestic users for mowing their lawns as soon as they care to apply. I hope that this will mitigate the effect on the lawn-mower industry referred to by my hon. Friend.
