asked the Minister of Supply (1) to what extent Her Majesty's Government are planning to obtain the maximum amount of information from the first thermo-nuclear explosion, with a view to limiting the series of tests to one only;

(2) how many nuclear and thermonuclear explosions are planned during the spring series of tests.

It is of course the intention to obtain the maximum amount of information from every nuclear test explosion. It would not be in the public interest to disclose the number of explosions planned in the series.
