At their own or the Committee's request, the bodies marked (a) have given oral evidence and those marked (b) will be heard within the next few weeks. The Committee expects to receive very soon evidence awaited from one or two other bodies. In addition written evidence has been provided by 22 private persons and private commercial undertakings; one of these has already given oral evidence and the Committee is arranging to hear four more who have expressed the wish to do so.
