HC Deb 14 February 1957 vol 564 cc202-3W
33. Mr. Beswick

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what provision is made for compensation or pension for a civil servant and his dependants in the event of his injury or death whilst travelling on duty.

Mr. Powell

The Injury Warrant, 1952, framed under Section 41 of the Superannuation Act, 1949, provides a scheme of compensation for non-industrial civil servants injured or killed on duty. The arrangements are complicated and vary with the circumstances of the case.
