asked Her Majesty's Government, the net gain or loss by migration of the United Kingdom during each of the ten years 1947 to 1956.

THE EARL OF HOME

The only regular series of figures relating to migrants or the years in question is contained in statistics published by the Board of Trade and relates only to migrants travelling direct by sea between the United Kingdom and all ports outside Europe and the Mediterranean Sea:—
