§ 88. Mr. Parkerasked the Minister of Labour whether he will appoint a court of inquiry into the present dispute at Messrs. Briggs, Dagenham, with powers to consider the causes of the continual disputes there.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodI do not rule out the possibility of such an inquiry but it would not be appropriate at the moment because the dispute which led to the recent strike is still being dealt with under the procedure agreed between the management and the trade unions. I will keep the matter under review.
