Mr. Lewis

asked the Minister of Labour to publish in HANSARD a table of figures showing the monthly rise or fall

Owing to changes in the indices in use, involving variations in the items priced and in the weights used to combine the various prices, a single set of figures showing the monthly changes in the average level of food prices on a comparable basis throughout the period from 1945 is not available.
