HC Deb 04 February 1957 vol 564 c24W
148. Mr. Hunter

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in view of the hardship caused to sick and aged persons by the recent increases in the price of fish, if he will take powers to control the price of fish.

Mr. Godber

The price of fish has been high in recent weeks because landings have been reduced by exceptional and persistent bad weather at sea. My right hon. Friend does not propose to take powers to control prices.
