HC Deb 04 February 1957 vol 564 c30W
Sir A. Bossom

asked the President of the Board of Trade, in view of the depressed state of the beef trade and the drop in milk prices forecast for the coming year, owing to the heavy importation of beef from the Argentine, if he will give consideration to limiting these imports which are undermining our livestock industry.

Sir D. Eccles

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to the hon. Member for Norfolk, South-West (Mr. Dye) on 5th November, 1956.
