§ Mr. Viantasked the Minister of Health to what extent the adverse effects which primary vaccination may have on the fœtus, if done during the first three months of pregnancy, may also occur in connection with inoculation with anti-polio vaccine.
§ Mr. R. ThompsonI am advised that there is no good evidence of any adverse effects on the fœtus, apart from the extremely remote risk of generalised infection associated with smallpox vaccination; and that even this risk is not present in the case of poliomyelitis vaccination.
