§ 10. Mr. Oliverasked the Minister of Works whether he can now make a statement about the future of Watnall Hall, near Nottingham.
§ Mr. MolsonI had hoped to acquire and repair Watnall Hall, but I have recently been advised that the house is likely to be damaged by mining subsidence and that the estimated cost of the scheme would be higher than was at first thought. I have therefore felt obliged to accept the recommendation of the Historic Buildings Council for England that I should not acquire the property.
