asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what inquiries he has caused to be made into the effect of the Trustees Act, 1925, upon the market value of trust moneys since 1947; and what action he has in mind to protect the interests of those for whom such moneys are held in trust.

No special inquiry is necessary to show that inflation causes depreciation in the value of money invested in trustee stocks. The best means of protecting the interests of those for whom money is held in trust is to stop inflation.
