§ Mr. Walker-SmithRecruitment into the nursing profession is being continuously stimulated in a variety of ways, notably by the provision of careers talks in schools, by providing facilities for feature writers for the Press, radio and television, by the use of mobile nursing exhibitions, by local recruitment campaigns, and by the use of posters, leaflets and other publicity material. My right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour and National Service maintains a nursing appointments service in a large number of employment exchanges throughout the country for the guidance of nurses seeking employment and of persons wishing to train as nurses.
