§ Mr. Mahonasked the Minister of Education the total number of children of school age residing within the boundaries of the Knowsley ward and Mersey wards of the County Borough of Bootle which are areas affected by clearance; what percentage of these children are receiving grammar school education at grammar schools either inside Bootle or at other grammar schools; and what is the average national percentage of children receiving grammar school education.
§ Mr. Geoffrey LloydI do not feel justified in asking the Bootle Local Education Authority to undertake the special survey which would be needed to answer the first two parts of the Question. For the last part I would refer the hon. Member to the Answer given to the hon. Member for Meriden (Mr. Moss) on 5th December.
