HC Deb 11 December 1957 vol 579 c130W
69. Mr. Wade

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what consultations he has had with the trade unions representing the engineering employees of the operators at Croydon Airport about their future in the event of the airport's closure resulting in their present employers being unable to offer future employment.

Mr. Watkinson

None. Discussions are still going on with tenants about alternative accommodation and it is premature to assume that there will necessarily be any employment problem.
