asked the Postmaster-General why there were no letter cards available in some Edinburgh post offices on and about 2nd December, 1957; and if he will take steps to rectify the position.

I am sorry that exceptionally heavy demands have caused a temporary shortage of letter cards. Stocks at Edinburgh have now been replenished.
