HC Deb 04 December 1957 vol 579 c48W
78. Mr. Gower

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what consideration he has given to the long-term problem of improving road communications between north and south Wales: and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Watkinson

The amount of road traffic passing from north to south Wales andvice versa is relatively light and, to make the best use of the funds available, I have up to the present had to give preference to plans for other major schemes of road improvements to benefit Wales.
