§ Mr. Iain MacleodWhen the decision to close this factory was announced in July last the management gave my local officers full facilities to register those workpeople who wished for our help in obtaining other employment in advance of their discharge. 364 workpeople have now been discharged and only 19 are still registered as unemployed. Prospects of finding other employment for these and for the small number still engaged at the works are reasonably good.
