§ 69. Sir H. Lucas-Toothasked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware of the inconvenience of there being no 4½d. stamp, being the amount now required for any letter or package between 1 oz. and 2 oz.; and whether he will take action to remedy the matter.
§ Mr. MarplesYes. I propose to issue a 4½d. stamp—probably in replacement of one of the existing denominations. Owing to our other stamp commitments the new 4½d. stamp cannot be produced quickly.
