asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will arrange for Britain to make an extra contribution to the special£3,500,000 programme for refugees proposed by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Yes. The United Kingdom representative informed the United Nations General Assembly's Third Committee on 4th November that Her Majesty's Government proposed, subject to Parliamentary approval, to make a special contribution of£100,000 to the United Nations Refugee Fund (U.N.R.E.F.), payable in 1959.
